Playbox is one of the longest running active theatrical societies in New Zealand, having only really stopped productions during WWII. Playbox focuses mainly on spoken plays, and has been a launching pad for many talented actors and actresses. Playbox have had a long affiliation with Riverlea Theatre, and we are proud to have them as one of the societies that call Riverlea Theatre home.
Musikmakers is a local theatrical society whose main focus is Musicals. We have produced over 80 musicals since 1976, showcasing the huge range of talent that we are fortunate enough to have right here in the Waikato.
